Long Out-Of-Print. Rare Silk was formed in Boulder, Colorado in 1978 as a Female Vocalese Trio. Impressed "Benny Goodman" (Seek out the video for "Girl Talk" you will see & hear why) and toured with his Orchestra. "Todd Buffa" joined the female trio and released the jazzy swing recording "New Weave". The group was nominated for a "Grammy" in 1983 in two categories. The "Big Band Brass Section" performed by "Michael Brecker: Tenor Sax, Gary Bartz: Alto Sax, Randy Brecker: Trumpet, Ronnie Cuber: Baritone Sax"...Killer! Kim Stone: Upright Bass, Eric Gunnison: Fender Rhodes. *Contains two vocal samples from "D.C. Farewell" in the "Gary Bartz" Alto Sax solo. I remixed & edited the track through Bias Peak Pro & GarageBand. Streaming compensation was performed on this recording to achieve it's optimal resolution peak. DSP Effects and "Audio Slate" were added protection for the artist and myself for the work rendered to deter public exploitation.
