This track features some early Eric Dolphy with Dennis Budimir also featured on guitar, both of whom had recently joined Chico's quintet replacing Paul Horn and John Pisano, respectively. The album was one of the first that George Avakian produced after he left Columbia [there was also a brief sojourn at Pacific Jazz with his time at RCA yet to come]. It was also the last of Chico's cello-based quintets. He moved on to form a new group with George Bohannon on trombone, Charles Lloyd on tenor and flute, Gabor Szabo on guitar and Albert "Sparky" Stinson on bass. The tune was composed by Carson Smith, the original bassist in Chico's quintet.
